The S8+ has glass on both sides, and the back cracks just as easily as the front. Beyond the looks, a broken back cover leaves sharp edges and gives dust and moisture a way in, so it is worth replacing rather than taping over.
The cover is bonded to the frame with adhesive, so it needs heat and patience to remove cleanly. We fit an original Samsung cover with fresh adhesive, and part and fitting are included in the price shown.

Common questions
Can I keep using the phone with a cracked back?
You can, but small shards work loose over time and the crack gives moisture a path inside. A case hides the damage but does not seal it. Replacing the cover keeps the inside of the phone protected and gets rid of the sharp edges.
Will the phone still be water resistant afterwards?
We fit the new cover with fresh adhesive, which is what seals the back of the phone. Even so, once any phone has been damaged and opened we recommend treating water resistance as a bonus rather than something to rely on.
