Common questions
How do I tell a software issue from a worn battery?
Updates can shift battery behaviour for a few days while the phone reindexes, then it settles. Wear does not settle. If drain has crept up over months and the phone is a few years old, the cell is the likely cause, and we can test it to confirm.
The glass back worries me. Does it make a battery swap riskier?
It just changes the method. The bonded glass is warmed and lifted first, then the battery comes out with proper tools rather than force. This is exactly why we suggest not attempting it at home. The phone leaves here resealed with new adhesive.
Will replacing the battery reset anything on my phone?
No. Your data and settings stay exactly as they are, because the repair is purely hardware. The battery statistics the phone reports will reflect the new cell after a few charge cycles. A backup beforehand is still sensible with any repair, as it is with any phone.
