The S26+ takes the 2026 flagship formula and stretches it across a 6.7 inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a 4900mAh battery behind it. More screen means more glass in harm's way, and a current model deserves current parts when it breaks.

Common questions

How is the S26+ different from the S26 and the S26 Ultra?

Size and screen, mostly. The S26+ is SM-S947B with a 6.7 inch QHD+ display and a 4900mAh battery, sitting between the 6.3 inch S26 and the 6.9 inch Ultra. That comes through in the repair prices: a screen here is R3 933 against R2 953 on the S26 and R5 266 on the Ultra.

My old phone was an S25+, also 6.7 inch. Do the same parts and prices apply?

No on both counts. The S25+ is SM-S936B and the S26+ is SM-S947B, so every part is model specific even though the screen size and the 4900mAh capacity match. The S26+ is the cheaper of the two on three lines, R1 410 for the back cover against R2 000, R1 430 for the battery against R1 900 and R1 160 for the charging port against R1 417, with only the screen higher at R3 933 against R3 578.

The battery is listed at R1 430. Should I have it replaced?

Almost certainly not yet. The S26+ shipped in March 2026, and a 4900mAh cell that new has not been through enough charge cycles to have lost much. If the phone is not lasting the day, bring it in for a test before you spend the R1 430, because on a phone this new the battery is rarely the thing at fault.
