Common questions
Is faster drain on the highest screen settings normal?
The sharper and brighter you run the screen, the more power it draws, so faster drain at maximum settings is normal, not a fault. What is not normal is a sharp change from the phone's own baseline. If the same settings suddenly cost you hours, the cell or an app is misbehaving.
What happens to my old battery?
It stays with us for proper disposal. Lithium cells do not belong in household rubbish, and a worn or swollen cell even less so. Safe handling and recycling of the old battery is part of the job when we fit the new original Samsung cell to your phone.
Can a software update fix my battery life instead?
Updates can improve standby drain if a bug was eating power, so keep the phone updated. What software cannot do is restore capacity that the chemistry has lost. If diagnostics show the cell itself has worn, no update brings it back, and a new original battery is the honest fix.
