Common questions
Does a cracked back affect the cameras?
Not directly, but the neighbourhood matters. Cracks let dust and moisture in near the camera modules, and haze or moisture inside the phone shows up in photos eventually. If the crack sits near the camera area, treat the repair as protecting the cameras, not just tidying the glass.
Should I use a case after the repair?
Yes. A bonded glass back is strong, but corners are always the weak point in a drop, and a decent case absorbs exactly that impact. It also protects the fresh adhesive bond in its first days. If you carry the Ultra without a case, this page may see you again.
My back cover is lifting at one edge without a crack. What is that?
Either the adhesive has let go or, more seriously, a swollen battery is pushing from inside. Do not press it flat and hope. Bring the phone in so we can tell which it is, because a swelling cell needs attention first, and re-bonding a cover over it solves nothing.
