An unreliable port on an S26 Ultra undermines the whole phone. The causes are unglamorous. Lint compacted at the bottom of the socket, contacts worn smooth by years of plugging in, or pins bent by one careless push.
We restore it by fitting the original Samsung USB sub-board for this model, replaced complete rather than patched. The board and the fitting are included in the price shown at our Umhlanga centre.

Common questions
My car's Android Auto keeps dropping. Is that the port?
If it is the cabled kind, quite possibly. Android Auto over USB depends on the data pins, which wear just like the power pins. If the connection drops over bumps or when the cable shifts, the port is suspect. Try a fresh quality cable first, then have the port looked at.
What does the USB sub-board include?
It is the small internal board that carries the USB-C connector and its related components. Replacing the board as a unit means every contact in the charging path is new, which is more dependable than reworking one connector. The part we fit is the original Samsung board for the S26 Ultra.
The phone fell in water and now will not charge. Same repair?
Not necessarily. Water damage can go beyond the port, so charging failure after a dunk needs an inspection before anyone fits parts. Do not keep trying to charge it, as that can make corrosion worse. Bring it in, let us assess it, and you will get a straight answer.
