Common questions
Does a cracked back affect the phone's cameras?
Not directly, but the risk sits close by. The rear cameras look through their own lenses next to the broken glass, and continued cracking can reach them. Dust entering through the cracks can also end up as spots in photos. Replacing the cover early keeps a cosmetic problem cosmetic.
Why does the cover need adhesive rather than clips?
Glass-backed phones are sealed, not clipped. The adhesive holds the cover, keeps dust and moisture out and stiffens the whole body. That is why a proper repair strips the old adhesive completely and bonds the new original cover with fresh adhesive, rather than sticking a new panel over whatever is left.
Can I drop the phone off with the glass loose and pieces missing?
Yes, missing pieces are no problem, since the entire cover is replaced with a new original one anyway. If glass is actively flaking, put the phone in a bag or wrap it so the slivers stay contained on the way here. We handle the rest, including cleaning fragments out of the phone.
