A fussy charging port sneaks up on you. First the cable needs a wiggle, then a specific angle, then one morning the S24 FE has not charged at all. That progression is the USB-C connector wearing out, or lint packing in ever tighter.

The port is mounted on its own sub-board, which we replace with the original Samsung part for this model. Charging, fast charging and data transfer are all tested before you collect. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.

Common questions

The charging sound keeps triggering on and off. What causes that?

The connection is making and breaking, which points to a worn connector, dirt in the port or a damaged cable. It is worth ruling out the cable first with a known good one. If the stutter continues, the port is failing, and the sub-board should be replaced before it stops entirely.

Is this repair risky for the rest of the phone?

No. The point of the sub-board design is separation. The USB-C connector and its board come out as a unit, away from the main board that holds your storage. We fit the original Samsung board, reassemble and test. Data and settings stay exactly as they were.

Can lint really stop a phone charging?

Easily. Every time the cable goes in, it compresses whatever is in the port, and over months that becomes a dense plug at the back. The cable then cannot seat deep enough to make contact. We clean and inspect before condemning the port, and only replace the board if it is genuinely worn or damaged.
