The Galaxy S10 packed a 6.1 inch Dynamic AMOLED screen and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the glass, which is exactly why repairs on this model deserve original parts. A cheap copy panel usually kills the fingerprint sensor along with the colour accuracy.

Common questions
How do I know whether I have the S10, the S10+ or the S10e?
The model number settles it: SM-G973F is the S10, SM-G975F is the S10+ and SM-G970F is the S10e. You can also tell by looking, since the S10 and S10+ have curved edges while the S10e is flat with its fingerprint reader in the power button, and the S10+ is the only one with a wide double punch hole for two front cameras. Screens, backs and batteries are separate parts for each, so an S10 price covers the SM-G973F and not the other two.
What tends to go wrong with an S10 in particular?
Battery life, and the curved edges of the screen. A 3400mAh cell was already tight for a 6.1 inch Quad HD+ display when the phone arrived in March 2019, and seven years of charge cycles later a battery at R1 201 is the usual fix for an S10 that dies by mid-afternoon. The curve is the other one: a corner knock that a flat phone would survive tends to run a crack right across the panel, and that is the R5 121 repair.
Is it still worth repairing an S10?
It depends which repair. A charging port at R1 050 or a battery at R1 201 on a phone that otherwise works is sensible money, and either takes the same three working days. A screen at R5 121 is a bigger call on a phone that has been out for seven years, and we would rather you made that call with the number in front of you.
