The S10's screen is more than glass and pixels. The ultrasonic fingerprint reader sits underneath the 6.1 inch Dynamic AMOLED panel, which is why copy screens so often leave owners without a working sensor.

We replace the full display with an original Samsung panel calibrated for the SM-G973F. Fingerprint unlock, HDR colour and edge touch all work as they did from the factory. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.

Common questions

Will my in-screen fingerprint reader work after the replacement?

Yes. We fit original Samsung panels, and the ultrasonic sensor is calibrated to work through them. After fitting we run the sensor calibration and have you test a saved fingerprint before you leave. This is the main reason to avoid copy screens on the S10.

Why did my fingerprint sensor die when the screen cracked?

The ultrasonic reader works by sending sound pulses through the display stack. Cracks and deep scratches scatter those pulses, so the sensor stops recognising your finger even though the rest of the screen still works. A new original panel restores the clean path the sensor needs.

Can I use my S10 with a cracked screen until the repair?

For a short while, with care. Cracks spread under pressure and let moisture into the panel, which can turn a glass problem into black blotches or dead touch zones. Put a screen protector over it, keep it dry and book the replacement soon.
