Charging ports live a hard life. The S10's USB-C socket gets plugged in more than a thousand times a year, collects lint from pockets and takes strain every time the cable gets snagged. Worn pins and a loose fit are the usual result.

Rather than soldering the old connector, we fit a complete original Samsung sub-board for the S10. It is the cleaner, more reliable repair, and the price shown includes the part and the work.

Signs you need this repair

  • Have to wiggle the cable to get it charging
  • Charging cuts out if the phone moves
  • Slow charging warning with the original charger
  • Cable falls out on its own

Common questions

My S10 charges slowly no matter which charger I use. Is that the port?

It can be. Worn or dirty port pins cause poor contact, which makes the phone fall back to slow charging or throw cable warnings. We first clean and inspect the port, then test with known good chargers. If the fault is in the socket, the sub-board gets replaced.

What exactly gets replaced in a charging port repair?

The USB-C connector on the S10 sits on a small sub-board at the bottom of the phone. We replace that whole board with an original Samsung part rather than trying to rework a worn connector. It is a like-for-like factory component, fitted and tested here.

Will wireless charging still work if my port is broken?

Usually yes, since wireless charging uses a separate coil, and it is a handy stopgap while the port is faulty. It is slower though, and a broken port also means no USB connection to a computer or car. Most owners replace the sub-board rather than live with it.
