Common questions
Is the Note20 Ultra pen different from other S Pens?
Yes. Samsung tuned this pen for 9ms latency on the Ultra and shaped it for the Ultra's silo. Other models' pens differ in size and pairing behaviour. The original pen for the SM-N986B is the one that fits, charges and performs correctly.
The phone keeps saying the pen battery is low. Replace it?
First let it charge properly in the silo for ten minutes or so, since a pen left out of the phone drains flat. If the warning returns quickly after charging, the pen's internal cell has worn out, and a new original pen is the fix.
Which side does the S Pen go in? I have heard you can damage it.
The Note20 Ultra's silo is on the left side of the bottom edge, and the pen only seats fully one way, tip first with the clicker flush. Never force a pen that resists. If yours does not slide in smoothly, bring the phone in and we will look.
