The Note20 Ultra's USB-C port handles fast charging, DeX and data, and it wears like any connector used several times a day. Lint, bent pins and plain fatigue all end the same way, with a cable that has to be held just right.
We replace the original Samsung sub-board and test everything before collection. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.
Signs you need this repair
- Cable must be wedged at an angle to charge
- Charging keeps cutting out mid-charge
- Laptop no longer detects the phone
- Only wireless charging still works

Common questions
Is this a common Note20 Ultra problem?
Port wear is common on every heavily used phone, and the Ultra is a work phone for many owners, so its port sees more than average duty. The good news is the repair is routine. An original sub-board restores charging and data properly.
The port looks fine but charging is intermittent. Why?
Damage is often invisible from the outside. Pins wear microscopically, solder joints fatigue and lint compacts right at the back of the socket. We inspect it under magnification, clean it first, and only replace the sub-board if the connector itself is at fault.
Can I wait this one out and just charge wirelessly?
You can get by for a while, but you give up fast charging, DeX and file transfer, and a failing port rarely stabilises. If the phone matters to your day, replace the port on your terms rather than waiting for the last cable trick to stop working.
