Common questions

Is this page for the A23 5G as well?

No, these prices are for the 4G A23, SM-A235F. The A23 5G is SM-A236B, and although the two are near identical to look at, the 4G runs a 90Hz panel and the 5G a 120Hz one, so they take different display parts. Check the model number in Settings, About phone before booking so the right part is ordered.

Is the A23 worth repairing?

Yes, at every price we quote for it. The A23 is a 2022 phone with a 5000mAh battery and 25W charging, and the parts that wear first are the battery at R1 259 and the charging port at R769. Even the screen, the dearest A23 part at R2 198, goes into a phone with years of use still ahead of it.

How is the A24 different from the A23?

The A24 swapped the A23's 6.6 inch LCD for a 6.5 inch Super AMOLED, so it is slightly smaller and better on contrast, still 90Hz and still 4G. Both carry 5000mAh batteries and a fingerprint reader in the side button. The codes are SM-A235F and SM-A245F, no part crosses between them, and an A24 screen is R2 380 against R2 198 here.
