An A23 that needs its cable held just so has a port problem, not a cable problem. The socket wears with thousands of insertions, collects lint from every pocket, and its pins bend when a cable gets forced in the dark.

Common questions
My A23 charges with some cables but not others. Why?
Worn port pins make weak contact, so only cables with tight, unworn plugs still connect properly. It feels like a cable problem, but the port is the common factor. Replacing the sub-board sorts it for every cable, not just the one that still works.
The battery goes down even while plugged in. Is that the port?
Often, yes. A bad connection can deliver less power than the phone is using, so it discharges while sitting on the charger. A weak cable or adapter can do the same thing, so we test the port properly before replacing anything.
Is the charging port repair risky for the rest of the phone?
It is a routine job when done properly. The sub-board is a separate component designed to be replaced, and we fit an original Samsung board. Your storage, cameras and screen are not part of the work, so nothing else on the phone is disturbed.
