Common questions
My Fold7 is so thin. Does that make the back glass more fragile?
Thin phones have less chassis to absorb a knock, so the rear panel takes impacts more directly. The glass itself is tough, but a corner drop concentrates force into a small area, and that is where cracks start. A case adds back some of the margin the slim design gives up.
Will a replaced back cover look different from the original?
No. As an authorised Samsung centre we fit the original service part in the correct colour and finish for your Fold7, with the proper camera surround and markings. Once bonded, there is nothing to tell it apart from the panel the phone shipped with.
Is it safe to keep using the phone with cracked back glass?
Short term, mostly, but the cracks will not stay put. Handling flexes the panel, loose slivers can work free, and dust and moisture have an open door into a very tightly packed phone. On a device this new, replacing the cover early protects the bigger investment.
