Leave your name and number and we will phone you back to arrange it.

Open a Fold7 and you are holding an 8 inch tablet that measures 4.2mm thick. The folding panel that makes it possible is remarkable, and like every flexible display it has limits: grit pressed in when the phone closes, a crease fault, a drop on the open screen.

Inner and cover screens are separate original Samsung parts for the SM-F966, each replaced on its own by our technicians. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.

Signs you need this repair

  • Line down the crease of the 8 inch screen
  • Black spot where something was pressed into the panel
  • Inner display stopped responding to touch
  • Cracked 6.5 inch cover screen

Common questions

Is the Fold7's screen tougher than earlier Folds?

Samsung reworked the display's supporting layers for the Fold7 and the crease is shallower than before. It is still a flexible panel, though, and the physics have not changed: hard points of pressure, grit inside the fold and deep impacts can all damage it. Treat it as the precision part it is.

Something was stuck inside when I closed the phone and now there is a mark. Is that permanent?

If the mark remains after the surface is cleaned, the flexible layers underneath have been dented, and that does not recover on its own. Dead pixels or spreading discolouration around it confirm panel damage. The repair is a new original panel, calibrated for the Fold7, fitted here in Umhlanga.

Can only the cover screen be replaced if the inner one is fine?

Yes. The 6.5 inch cover display is its own part and its own repair, done without disturbing the folding screen inside. The reverse is also true. Tell us which screen is damaged when you get in touch and we will book the correct one for your phone.
