Is the Fold6 back cover glass or plastic?
Glass. Samsung uses toughened cover glass bonded to the frame with adhesive, which is why a hard enough knock cracks it rather than scuffing it. The replacement we fit is the original Samsung panel in your phone's colour, bonded the same way the factory does it.
Can I put a skin or cover over the crack instead?
A skin holds the fragments together but solves nothing underneath. The cracks keep spreading with handling, dust works its way in, and moisture will find the gaps eventually. It also makes the eventual repair messier. A replacement panel deals with the problem instead of hiding it.
Will the phone still charge wirelessly after the back is replaced?
Yes. The wireless charging coil is a separate component inside the phone, and the original Samsung cover is designed around it just like the factory panel was. Once the new cover is bonded in place, wireless charging works exactly as it did before the damage.
