The 6.2 inch Super AMOLED on the S9+ is a big panel with curved edges, and there is not much bezel to absorb a knock. Cracks tend to start at the curve and spread, and moisture getting under broken glass can kill the display outright.

Common questions
Can you replace just the glass and keep my display?
No, and we would not recommend it anywhere. On the S9+ the glass, touch layer and AMOLED are laminated together at the factory, so splitting them risks the panel. We replace the complete original assembly, which is the repair Samsung designed the phone for.
Will an original screen really look different from a cheap copy?
Yes. Aftermarket panels for curved models like the S9+ often sit proud of the frame, show washed out colour or miss touches on the curve. OEM screens are calibrated for the specific model, which is why we only fit original Samsung parts.
