Every charge, every cable and every bit of pocket lint goes through one small USB-C port, and on a phone charged daily since 2021 that adds up. Worn contacts and bent pins are the usual endgame.
On the S21+ the port is mounted on a sub-board, and that is the part we replace with an original Samsung board. Fitting by trained technicians is included in the price shown.
Signs you need this repair
- Charges only when the cable is pushed up or down
- Cable falls out of the port too easily
- Charging icon flickers on and off
- Wireless pad charges it but the cable does not

Common questions
Is this a soldering job on my motherboard?
No, and that is good news. Samsung mounts the S21+ port on its own small board that connects internally, so the repair is a clean board swap with an original part rather than soldering on the motherboard. Done properly it restores charging and USB data in one go.
How do I know it is not just the charger?
Try a different cable and adapter that you know work, and try your charger on another phone. If the S21+ is still fussy, the port is suspect. We verify with known-good equipment on the bench before fitting anything, so the diagnosis is confirmed rather than guessed.
Can lint really stop a phone charging?
Completely. The port is a pocket-facing hole and lint compacts at the bottom of it every time you plug in, until the plug cannot reach the contacts. Sometimes a professional clean is all the phone needs. When the contacts underneath are worn, we replace the board.
