What is the difference between the S10+ and the S10?
Size, battery and the front camera. The S10+ is SM-G975F with a 6.4 inch display and a 4100mAh battery, where the S10 is SM-G973F at 6.1 inches and 3400mAh. The quickest way to tell them apart is the punch hole, which on the S10+ is a wide pill shape holding two front cameras against the S10's single round one. None of the parts are shared.
Why does every repair cost more on the S10+ than on the S10?
Bigger parts. The 6.4 inch panel is R5 711 against R5 121 for the S10's 6.1 inch, the back cover is R1 465 against R1 294, the 4100mAh battery is R1 281 against R1 201 and the charging port is R1 150 against R1 050. The gap is in the part itself rather than the labour, and each price includes the fitting.
Is a R5 711 screen worth it on an S10+?
It is the most expensive part on an S10+, so take a minute with it. The S10+ came out in March 2019 and Samsung has finished updating it, so R5 711 goes into a phone that is near the end of its supported life, and it only adds up if the rest of it is in good order. If the screen is one of several faults, spend the money elsewhere.
