The Note10 Lite gave South Africans the S Pen experience at a friendlier price, with a big flat 6.7 inch Super AMOLED screen, a 4500mAh battery and even a headphone jack. Many are still going strong, and the flat screen makes several repairs simpler than on its curved siblings.

Common questions

SM-N770F, N770F/DS or N770F/DSM. Which one do I have?

All three are the Note10 Lite. The suffix marks the SIM and market configuration rather than different hardware, and the screen, battery, charging port and back cover we fit are the same across them. Your code is in Settings, About phone, Model number, and the price is the same whichever of the three it reads.

Is the Note10 Lite just a cheaper Note10?

It is a different phone rather than a trimmed one. The Lite arrived in January 2020 with a flat 6.7 inch Super AMOLED, a 4500mAh battery, a headphone jack and a microSD slot, none of which the Note10 has, and it uses the older Exynos 9810 with an optical fingerprint reader instead of the Note10's ultrasonic one. The flat panel and plastic back are why the repairs come in lower, R1 093 for a back cover and R1 036 for a charging port.

Is it worth keeping a Note10 Lite going in 2026?

If you want the S Pen without spending Note money, yes, because this is the cheapest one to maintain. The screen is R3 959 and the battery R1 217, both below the same jobs on any other Note we list. Be realistic about what you get back though: the Exynos 9810 is a 2018 chip, the same generation as the Galaxy S9, so a repair returns the phone to how it was rather than making it quick.
