The A26 5G moved this series to a glass back, and glass backs shatter where plastic ones cracked. The cover is bonded to the frame with adhesive, part of what earns the phone its IP67 rating, so replacement is a controlled, heated job.
We fit an original Samsung glass back with fresh adhesive so the phone closes up flush and sealed. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.

Common questions
Is the A26 back really glass?
Yes, the A26 5G has a glossy glass back, a change from the plastic covers on earlier models in this range. It looks better and it breaks like glass, which is why a rear drop that a plastic A25 would shrug off can shatter an A26.
Can I keep using the phone with a shattered back?
Carefully, and not for long. Loose glass splinters work free and can cut, tape only half contains them, and the break has opened the phone's sealing. Have it replaced before moisture finds a way in, especially with the humidity we get here.
Does a new back restore the water resistance?
The cover is refitted with the correct adhesive, which is what the sealing depends on. Even so, no repaired phone should be treated as guaranteed waterproof, ours or anyone else's. Keep it out of pools and treat the IP67 rating as backup, not an invitation.
