Common questions
My phone says SM-A256E but the page also lists SM-A256F. Which one am I?
Both are the Galaxy A25 5G and both take the same parts, so the price is the same either way. The letter at the end is a regional suffix rather than a different phone; what matters is that the number reads SM-A256. If it reads SM-A245F you have the 4G A24, which is a different screen and a different battery.
Is a screen at R2 545 reasonable on an A25 5G?
The screen is the most expensive part in the A25 5G and the largest one: a 6.5 inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED running at 120Hz, replaced as a complete assembly with the fitting included. The battery is R1 342, the charging port R804 and the back cover R705 by comparison. On a 2024 phone with 5G and a 5000mAh battery, the screen is usually worth putting right rather than living with.
How does the A26 5G differ from the A25 5G?
The A26 is bigger, better sealed, and it gave up the headphone jack the A25 still has. It runs a 6.7 inch screen against the A25's 6.5 inch, has a glass back where the A25's is plastic, and carries an IP67 rating the A25 never had. That glass back matters if you are comparing the two, because it shatters in a drop where the A25's plastic tends to scuff, and the covers are R762 for the A26 against R705 here.
