A cracked or lifting back cover lets dust and pocket grit into the phone. On the A20 the fingerprint sensor reads through an opening in the rear cover, so the cover needs to sit properly for everything to line up.

We fit an original Samsung cover so the colour, camera opening and sensor cutout match the phone exactly. The old damaged cover comes off, the phone gets checked underneath, and the new one goes on. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.

Common questions

Is the A20 back glass or plastic?

It is plastic, which is why it tends to crack at the corners or lift rather than shatter like a glass phone. That does not make it worth ignoring. A loose cover lets in dust and moisture, and it stops the phone sitting flat in a case.

Will the fingerprint sensor still work after the cover is replaced?

Yes. The sensor is a separate component that reads through a cutout in the rear cover. We fit an original Samsung cover made for this exact model, so the cutout lines up precisely and the sensor carries on working with nothing to set up again.

Can I just glue the old cover back down?

Household glue tends to end up in places it should not, and a warped cover never sits flat again. A cover that keeps lifting can also be a sign of a swollen battery underneath, which is worth checking before anything gets stuck down.
