Why does the S8+ screen cost so much more than the 11 inch Tab S8's?
Different display technology. The 11 inch Tab S8 uses an LCD, while the S8+ carries a 12.4 inch Super AMOLED at 120Hz, and an AMOLED assembly of that size costs far more to buy. The 5G S8+ is the SM-X806B, the Wi-Fi version is the SM-X800, and the R6 375 here is the price for the SM-X806B.
Does the Tab S8+ have any water resistance?
None at all. The Tab S9 was Samsung's first tablet with an IP68 rating, so this generation has no sealing behind the glass, and rain or a spilled drink can reach the board. Say so when you book if liquid was involved, because a wet board is a separate fault and a new panel will not clear it.
The tablet is from February 2022. Is R6 375 sensible at that age?
It is a real decision at that price, so look at the rest of the tablet honestly. The 12.4 inch Super AMOLED and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 were the top of Samsung's tablet range in 2022, and a 10090mAh battery that has been treated well still gets through a working day, in which case the panel is the only thing standing between you and several more years of use. If it is already charging slowly or switching itself off, R6 375 on a four year old tablet is harder to justify, and we will say so when you bring it in.
