The fingerprint reader on the Tab S8+ sits under the display, which raises the stakes on a screen repair. A generic panel can leave you locked out of fingerprint unlock, on top of the usual problems with colour and touch.
That is why we fit only the original Samsung Super AMOLED assembly for the SM-X806B. Fingerprint unlock, S Pen input and the 120Hz refresh all work as they should. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.

My tablet is from 2022. Can you still get the original screen?
As an authorised Samsung service centre we source parts through Samsung's official channels, and we confirm availability when you book. What we fit is always the original Super AMOLED assembly for the SM-X806B, never an aftermarket copy or a salvaged panel of unknown history.
Will fingerprint unlock work after the replacement?
Yes, and that is largely the point of using the original part. The fingerprint reader on this model works through the display, so the panel and sensor have to match properly. With the original Samsung assembly fitted correctly, fingerprint unlock carries on as before. We test it before handover.
A green line showed up on its own. Could Samsung cover it?
Vertical lines can develop on AMOLED panels without any impact damage. Whether Samsung covers a particular unit depends on its age, condition and Samsung's own assessment, so we will not promise an outcome here. Bring the tablet in. As an authorised centre we can assess it and advise on the right route first.
