How do I tell the S10+ from the S10 Ultra?
Look at the top of the display. The Ultra is 14.6 inches with a notch cut into the panel for its two front cameras, while the S10+ is 12.4 inches with a single front camera in the bezel and no notch. Samsung made no plain Tab S10 in 2024, so those two are the whole range, and their screens are R8 275 and R10 910.
Mine could be a Tab S9+. Does the difference matter?
It changes the part and the price. The S9+ is the SM-X816B and the 5G S10+ is the SM-X826B, and both are 12.4 inch 120Hz AMOLED tablets that almost nobody separates by eye. Check the number in Settings, or bring the tablet in and we will read it off the back before anything is ordered.
R8 275 is a lot of money. Is the repair still the right call?
On a tablet released in October 2024, yes for most owners. The display is the most expensive part in the SM-X826B, and everything behind it, the 10090mAh battery included, is early in its life. If the tablet has faults beyond the screen, ask us to look at all of it first rather than paying for the panel and finding the rest afterwards.
