A Fold3 bought at launch has been through well over a thousand charge cycles by now, and lithium cells wear with every one of them. The phone splits its 4400mAh capacity across two cells, one in each half, and when they age you feel it in hours lost off the day.

We fit original Samsung batteries, and our technicians handle the careful teardown a foldable needs. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.

Common questions

How do I know the battery is worn and not just software?

Check the pattern. A worn battery loses charge quickly under any use, drops in jumps and dies before zero. Software drain usually traces back to one app in the battery settings. If your Fold3 still drains fast after a restart and a check of those settings, the cells are tired.

Why does a Fold3 battery wear faster than I expected?

It is not the folding that wears the battery, it is charge cycles. Every lithium cell loses capacity as cycles add up, and a 2021 phone in daily use has been through a great many. Fresh original cells restore the capacity the phone was designed around.

Is a battery replacement worth doing on a phone from 2021?

Often, yes. The Fold3's screens, cameras and performance still hold up well, and a worn battery is usually the single biggest reason the phone feels old. A new original battery costs far less than replacing a foldable and deals with the most common complaint owners have.
