Common questions
Will the S Pen still work properly on the new screen?
Yes. The digitiser layer the S Pen writes on is part of the original display assembly, so pen input is restored along with the picture. If your pen strokes were landing off target after a drop, that was the damaged panel talking, and the replacement resolves it.
Does the replacement have the same anti-reflective coating?
Yes. The original Samsung service part is the same display assembly the phone is built with, Gorilla Armor glass and coating included. That matte anti-glare finish is part of the glass itself, which is one more reason aftermarket copies fall short on this particular model.
My screen has a green line but no crack. What causes that?
A line with no impact damage usually means a connection between the panel and its driver has failed inside the display assembly. It is a known AMOLED failure mode, not something you caused. It does not heal, and lines tend to multiply, so a panel replacement is the fix.
