A flaky charging port on the S21 FE usually announces itself slowly. First the cable needs a wiggle, then it only charges at one angle, then one morning it has not charged at all.

Common questions
Why does the whole board get replaced and not just the port?
Samsung supplies the port as part of a complete sub-board, and replacing the board gives a factory-standard connection rather than a hand-soldered joint on a heat-sensitive part. It is the repair Samsung specifies for this model, and it is what an authorised centre fits.
Could a worn port damage my battery?
Not directly, but the symptoms overlap. A phone that charges intermittently through the night looks a lot like a battery that drains too fast. When your FE comes in we test both sides, so you only repair what is actually faulty and nothing that is not.
Is my data affected by a port replacement?
No. The repair swaps a board at the bottom of the phone and never touches storage. Your photos, chats and apps stay exactly as they were. Keep a backup anyway as a habit. It protects you against loss and theft far more often than against repairs.
