Common questions
How do I know it's the battery and not something else?
Sudden shutdowns, a percentage that jumps around and poor standby time all point to a worn battery, especially on a phone from 2017. You can run a battery diagnostic in the Samsung Members app. If you are still unsure, bring it in and we will test it.
Is a new battery worth it on a phone this old?
If the rest of the Note8 still works well, yes. The battery is usually the only thing holding an older phone back, and an original replacement restores full capacity. It costs far less than a new phone and keeps a perfectly good device in service.
Will I lose my photos and data during the battery swap?
No. The battery is replaced without touching your storage, so apps, photos and messages stay exactly where they are. We still recommend a quick Smart Switch or cloud backup before any repair, which is good practice with any phone being opened.
