Common questions
The glass cracked but the display works. Can I wait?
You can, but you are gambling with the panel underneath. Cracked glass no longer protects the AMOLED from pressure or moisture, and once the panel itself marks, the same repair fixes it, just with more risk of the phone misbehaving in the meantime.
Will the fingerprint reader work after the screen is replaced?
Yes. The original Samsung display is matched to the SM-A556E, so the under display fingerprint reader works as before and the front camera's view through the punch hole stays clear. This is where copy screens most often fail, which is a good reason to insist on the original part.
