A55 charging problems usually trace back to one small component, the USB-C socket at the bottom of the phone. Bent pins, worn contacts or a stubborn plug of lint stop the connection from holding.
The socket sits on a replaceable sub-board, and that board, an original Samsung part, is what we fit. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.
Signs you need this repair
- New cables make no difference
- Charge percentage crawls even on the fast charger
- Connection drops if the cable moves
- Port looks fine but nothing charges

Common questions
I bought a new charger and it still will not charge. Is the phone gone?
Very unlikely. When known good chargers and cables change nothing, the fault is almost always the port sub-board, which is a routine replacement, not a write off. If testing shows anything beyond the port, we will tell you before any work happens on the phone.
Should I worry about the moisture warning before charging?
If the phone has actually been near water, yes, let the port dry before charging. If the warning appears constantly on a dry phone, the sensor in the port is likely reading falsely because of wear or contamination, and the sub-board replacement clears it.
How does lint end up in a port that faces downwards?
Pockets and bags press fibres in every time the phone slides in and out, and each cable insertion compacts them at the back of the socket. Eventually the plug cannot reach the contacts. We check for lint first, since sometimes cleaning is all a port needs.
