Common questions
There is a black blotch growing under the glass. What is that?
That is damage to the AMOLED panel itself, usually from a knock or pressure on the screen. The blotch is dead pixels and it typically spreads over days or weeks. The only fix is replacing the display assembly, which is exactly what this repair covers.
Only the glass is cracked and touch still works. Do you replace just the glass?
On the A51 the glass, touch layer and AMOLED panel come as one bonded assembly, and that is how Samsung supplies the service part. Splitting them apart is not how an authorised repair is done. We replace the full assembly, and the price shown includes it and the fitting.
Is an original screen really different from the cheap copies around town?
Yes. Aftermarket A51 screens are often LCD imitations of the original AMOLED, so blacks turn grey, brightness drops and the fingerprint reader under the display can stop working. The original Samsung part is the same panel type the phone shipped with, calibrated for this model.
