Common questions
My A24 is only a few years old. Should the battery be worn already?
It can be. Wear follows charge cycles rather than age, so a phone charged twice a day gets through cycles at double speed. Heat is the other accelerator. A phone that lives in a hot car or charges under a pillow wears noticeably faster.
Will replacing the battery reset or wipe the phone?
No. The battery is a power source, not storage, so your apps, photos and settings are exactly as you left them afterwards. We recommend a backup before any repair purely as a habit, not because this job puts your data at any risk.
Can I check battery health on the A24 myself?
Roughly, yes. The Samsung Members app has a diagnostics section that reports battery status, and your battery settings show usage per app. If Members flags the battery, or the phone dies well before it reads empty, a bench test here confirms it properly.
