Common questions
My screen cracked at the fold without being dropped. Why?
The fold is the hardest working part of the phone. The ultra thin glass flexes every time it closes, and cold weather, grit on the screen or pressure in a pocket can push it past its limit. It is a known weak point on folding phones generally, and it is repairable.
Is the replacement screen original?
Yes. We fit the original Samsung folding display assembly made for the SM-F721, complete with the correct factory film already applied. As an authorised Samsung service centre we only fit original parts, and on a folding screen the panel and hinge have to match exactly.
Should I stop using the phone until it is repaired?
If the screen has lines or a crack at the fold, keep the phone open as much as possible and avoid pressing on the damaged area. Every fold flexes the fault. The sooner the panel is replaced, the less chance of the damage spreading to a full blackout.
