A Flip3 that only charges in one position, or stops charging when it is bumped, usually has a worn USB-C port. Pocket lint is the other culprit, and a phone that gets flipped open and closed all day spends plenty of time in pockets.
The port is mounted on a sub-board, which we replace with an original Samsung part. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.

Common questions
Could the problem be my charger rather than the phone?
It could, so test with a different good quality cable and adapter before assuming the worst. If the phone still plays up, the port is the likely fault. When you bring it in we confirm on the bench which part is misbehaving before we replace anything.
Does the port repair involve opening the folding screen side?
The USB sub-board sits in the lower half of the phone, and we only open what the repair needs. The folding display is not disturbed by this job. Once the original Samsung board is fitted we test charging and data transfer before the phone goes back to you.
Is it safe to keep using wireless charging in the meantime?
Yes. Wireless charging runs through a separate coil, so it is a reasonable stopgap while the port is faulty. Just avoid forcing a cable into a loose socket, because bent pins can short and cause bigger problems than slow charging.
