Common questions
Why does my Flip3 die so much faster than when it was new?
Batteries lose capacity with every charge cycle, and a phone from 2021 has been through a lot of them. The Flip3 also has a smaller battery than most flat phones because of the folding design, so the wear shows sooner. New original cells restore the day one capacity.
Is a battery replacement on a folding phone more complicated?
It takes more care, yes. The Flip3 has to be opened without stressing the hinge or the display cables, and the cells sit in both halves of the phone. Our technicians are trained on the folding range, which is exactly why this is a workshop job and not a DIY one.
Can I check the battery health myself before booking?
Samsung's diagnostics in the Members app give you a battery status reading, and heavy drain or sudden shutdowns tell their own story. If you are unsure, bring the phone in. We test it and tell you straight whether the battery is the problem before you spend anything.
