A USB-C port is a mechanical part in a phone full of electronics, and mechanical parts wear. On the S26 the same rules apply as ever. Lint packs in, contacts wear, and pins bend when a cable goes in skew.
We replace the complete USB sub-board with the original Samsung board for this model. The part and the fitting are included in the price shown at our Umhlanga centre.

Common questions
The phone is nearly new. How can the port already be faulty?
Ports fail from events as well as age. One forced or skew plug can bend the internal pins, a pocketful of lint can block the socket within weeks, and a damaged cable can hurt the contacts. Whatever the cause, the fix is the same new original sub-board.
Can you check whether it is the port before I pay for the repair?
Yes, and we prefer to. We test with known-good chargers and cables and inspect the port before recommending anything. If the fault turns out to be your cable or adapter, you will hear that instead. The sub-board only gets replaced if the board is actually the problem.
Does the repair affect wireless charging?
No. Wireless charging uses a separate coil inside the phone and does not run through the USB sub-board. That also makes it a handy stopgap. If your port has failed and you have a wireless charger, you can keep the phone alive until the sub-board is replaced.
