A flaky charging port tends to announce itself slowly. First the S10e only charges on one specific cable, then only at an angle, then some mornings not at all. Lint, worn pins and cable strain are the usual culprits.

Common questions
Why does only one of my cables charge the phone?
As port pins wear down, only cables with the tightest fit still make proper contact, which is why one old cable becomes the magic one. That is the port telling you it is nearly finished. A new original sub-board restores a solid connection with any decent cable.
Could the problem be my charger rather than the S10e?
It could, and we check that first. Chargers and cables fail more often than ports do. Test your setup on another phone if you can. If other devices charge happily and the S10e still plays up, the socket is the likely fault and the sub-board needs replacing.
Will my data be affected by a charging port repair?
No. Replacing the sub-board involves the phone's lower board and connectors, not the storage, so everything on the phone stays put. As with any repair, a backup beforehand is smart, and with a working port afterwards, Smart Switch backups become easy again.
