Common questions
My Note20's back is lifting slightly. Is that the battery?
Very likely a swelling cell, and the Note20's flexible back cover shows it early. Stop charging the phone, do not press the bulge, and bring it in. We replace the battery with an original Samsung cell and check the cover and seals while it is open.
Does an original battery really matter, or will any cell do?
It matters. The original part matches the exact capacity, connector and protection circuitry Samsung specified for this phone. Generic cells often deliver less than they claim and age unpredictably, which defeats the point of the repair. We only fit original Samsung batteries.
What should I do before bringing the phone in?
