Common questions
I have tried three cables and none charge properly. Is the port gone?
When multiple known-good cables all struggle, the common factor is the phone, and on a 2019 device that usually means the port. Worn or bent pins grip poorly no matter what plugs into them. A new original sub-board sorts out the connection itself.
Can a dirty port be fixed without replacement?
Sometimes. Compacted lint stops the cable from seating, and a careful clean can bring charging back, so we check that first. When the contacts themselves are worn or bent, cleaning does not help, and that is when the sub-board replacement is the honest fix.
Will the repair change how fast the A30 charges?
