Common questions
Is the A04e screen different from the normal A04 screen?
Yes. They are close cousins but the panels are not the same part, and we fit strictly by model number. Yours is the SM-A042F, listed under Settings, About phone. Bring the phone in if you are unsure and we will identify it before ordering anything.
Only half my screen displays anything. Can that be fixed?
Yes, that is a failed panel rather than a software fault, usually from a knock or a flex near the connector area. The screen replacement sorts it out. If we find the fault is only a loose connection, we will tell you, and you will not pay for a panel the phone does not need.
Do you test the new screen before I take the phone back?
Always. After fitting we run through touch accuracy across the whole panel, brightness, colour and the proximity sensor behaviour during calls. You are welcome to test it yourself at the counter as well before you leave. The fitting is part of the advertised price.
