Drop damage on the Tab S9 FE usually shows up as shattered glass, a dead touch area or a display that lights up with lines through it. Because the glass and LCD are bonded together, Samsung supplies the screen as one complete part.

That is what we fit, the original assembly made for the SM-X516B, so the repair restores touch, S Pen input and the 90Hz display in a single job. The price shown includes the part and the fitting.

Common questions

Is the FE screen the same part as the standard Tab S9 screen?

No. The Tab S9 FE uses a 10.9 inch LCD at 90Hz, while the standard S9 has an 11 inch AMOLED. The parts are not interchangeable, which is why we fit the screen made specifically for the SM-X516B. Fitting the correct original part is what keeps touch and S Pen input accurate.

My child dropped the tablet and it now taps on its own. Is that the screen?

Almost always, yes. Ghost touch after a drop means the digitiser in the screen assembly is damaged, even if the glass looks fine. It tends to get worse over time, and it can open apps or type on its own. Replacing the assembly with the original Samsung part resolves it.

Should I put a screen protector on after the repair?

It is a sensible add for a tablet that travels to school or work every day. The new panel is the same original glass the tablet shipped with, so it is no weaker than before, but a protector takes the scratches and some of the impact first. Fit one once the repair is done.
