Samsung supplies the Tab A9 screen as one complete assembly, glass and LCD together, and that is what we fit. It is the original part for the SM-X110, so touch accuracy and colour come out right the first time.
No cracked screen improves on its own. Pressure and moisture keep working on the break, so the sooner the assembly is replaced, the less chance the damage spreads into the display itself.
Signs you need this repair

- Ink-like blotch growing across the display

Common questions
Is the Wi-Fi model's screen the same as the LTE one?
They are the same size and type, but we always confirm the exact model before fitting anything. The Wi-Fi Tab A9 is the SM-X110. Checking takes seconds in Settings, About tablet, or on the label on the back, and it means you get the original Samsung part specified for your unit.
My toddler cracked the screen. Is the broken glass dangerous?
Treat it with care. Cracked glass can lift at the edges and small shards can work loose, so keep the tablet away from children until it is repaired. A layer of clear tape over the crack is a reasonable stopgap for the trip to us, not a long-term fix.
Will my apps and photos survive the screen replacement?
A screen replacement does not touch the tablet's storage, so apps, photos and accounts stay exactly where they are. Even so, we recommend backing up to your Google or Samsung account before any repair. It is good practice with any device that has already taken a knock.
