Flip5 main screens usually fail at the fold. The ultra thin glass flexes thousands of times a year, and once a crack, line or dead strip appears there, continued folding spreads it. A drop with the phone open can also crack the panel outright.

Common questions
The screen works folded halfway but dies fully open. What is that?
That is a classic folding display fault. The flex cables and panel are stressed at full extension, and a failing screen often cuts out at a particular angle. It tends to get worse until the screen stays dead, so it is worth booking the replacement while the phone is still usable.
Does the replacement screen come with the protector already on?
Yes. The original Samsung display assembly arrives with the factory film applied as part of the screen, the same as when the phone was new. Do not peel that film off later, because it is designed to stay on the folding panel.
Will the Flex Window on the front be affected by this repair?
No. The cover screen is a separate part and this repair replaces the main folding display only. If your Flex Window is also cracked, mention it when you book and we will quote for that part as well so everything is done in one visit.
