A flaky charging port usually announces itself slowly. First the cable needs a wiggle, then only one charger works, then one morning the phone is flat. Lint, worn contacts and bent pins are the usual causes, and no amount of new cables fixes a worn port.
We replace the S25 FE's USB sub-board with the original Samsung part at our Umhlanga workshop. Part and fitting are included in the price shown.

Common questions
I keep getting a moisture warning but the phone is dry. Why?
The port has sensors that read the contacts. Lint, corrosion or damaged pins can trigger the moisture warning even when the phone has never seen water. If the warning stays after the port has been properly cleaned, the sub-board is faulty and replacing it clears the problem.
How long does a charging port normally last?
There is no fixed lifespan. The USB-C connector is rated for thousands of insertions, but daily charging, pocket lint and skew cables wear it faster. Phones charged on a cable every night tend to show port wear sooner than phones that mostly top up wirelessly.
Is it worth trying to clean the port first?
Definitely, and we would rather you do. Compacted lint is the cheapest fault there is. Have a look inside with a torch and gently clear lint with a wooden toothpick, never a pin. If the port still misbehaves after a careful clean, the contacts have worn and the board needs replacing.
