An A53 that needs the cable held just so has a worn USB-C port, and it only gets worse. Bent pins and packed lint stop the connector making full contact, so charging cuts in and out or stops altogether.
The port is mounted on a sub-board, and our repair replaces that board with an original Samsung part. The price shown includes the board and the fitting.

Common questions
My A53 stopped charging completely overnight. Is that the port or something worse?
Test another cable and adapter first, then suspect the port. Sudden total failure is often a socket that has finally lost contact after months of getting looser, and the sub-board replacement fixes it. If our testing points to anything beyond the port, we tell you before any work is done.
Does lint really break charging ports?
It is the most common cause we see. Lint compresses at the bottom of the socket each time you plug in, until the connector cannot seat and the contacts strain at an angle. Sometimes careful cleaning is all it takes, and we will tell you if that is the case with yours.
Can I still charge the phone another way while I wait to bring it in?
The A53 does not have wireless charging, so the USB-C port is the only way in. If a certain cable angle still works, use it gently and avoid leaving the phone charging unattended. The sooner the sub-board is replaced, the less strain on everything around it.
