Common questions
The port feels loose when I plug in. Does the whole phone need opening?
The phone gets opened, but the repair is contained. On the SM-A115F the USB port sits on its own sub-board, so we swap that board rather than touching the motherboard. Your data and the rest of the phone stay as they were.
My A11 stopped charging completely. Is it definitely the port?
Not always. A dead battery, a failed cable or a board fault can look identical. We test the phone first to find the actual cause and quote you on that, rather than replacing parts on guesswork.
Can I clean the port myself before bringing it in?
You can gently work dry lint out with a wooden toothpick, phone switched off, no metal and no liquids. If charging still misbehaves after that, the contacts are likely worn and the sub-board needs replacing with an original part.
